Ladder Rules
- Results of the 2005/6 Cheshire Junior
Closed Championships will determine the initial starting positions on the
ladder
- A player may challenge up to 3 places
above
- The challenge match shall be played at
the home club of the challenged player or at a neutral venue if the challenged
player agrees.
- The match must be the best of 5 games,
English scoring. Enough time must be allowed to ensure that the match is
finished and it is the responsibility of the challenged player to book the
court, normally two consecutive sessions.
- The challenge match must take place
within three weeks of the challenge being made, subject to pre-booked holidays
and known commitments.
- All matches must he refereed, the
referee to be agreed by both players
- A successful challenge will result in
the challenger taking the place of the challenged player and that player
moving down one place on the ladder.
- A challenger may challenge the same
person only once in any three week period. E.g. following a match the same two
players may not play each other until three weeks have elapsed.
- Three weeks must elapse before a
rechallenge.
- Any player wishing to enter the ladder
system is entitled to one flying challenge. If unsuccessful that player must
start at the lowest position.
- Results must be reported by email
immediately following the challenge to alanbatch@hotmail.com who will forward
it to the ladder organizer.
- The ladders will be published on the
Cheshire Website
www.cheshiresquash.org
- Subject to rule 2, matches in the
Cheshire Closed Championships and Cheshire Open Championships will be deemed
challenge matches as will any match in an England Squash Sanctioned Event,
Cheshire Ladies League and North West Counties League.
- The ladder will be used as a guide only
for county team selection and for seeding in county tournaments.
