The County Committee has expressed concern at the potential for disciplinary problems occurring within the county without having established a robust structure capable of efficiently, effectively and appropriately dealing with these problems.
For this reason, the CSRA County Committee has established a disciplinary procedure based on the successful and well-proven NW Counties League format.
The structure is defined as follows:
1) Disciplinary Committee
This committee, which is a sub committee of the County committee, will be responsible for all aspects relating to discipline and disputes within the County. The committee will have a chairman/chairwoman and four additional members representing both ladies and men's activities within the County. All matters referred to the committee for decision should be reported to the chairman of the Disciplinary committee in writing within 7 days of the incident or dispute occurring. Written comments from all parties involved will be invited by the chairman. When a Disciplinary committee is convened the parties involved will be permitted to provide a verbal presentation.
The Disciplinary committee may impose such fines or penalties as it deems appropriate and will inform the parties in writing within 7 days of the hearing.
2) Appeals Committee
An appeal may be made against any decision of
the Disciplinary committee. Such an appealshould be sent to the chairman of CSRA
within 7 days of receipt of the decision of theDisciplinary committee. The
appellant has the right to appeal direct to the SRA or to the
CSRA Appeals committee.
The Appeals committee will consist of a chairman and 2 other members who are not members of the Disciplinary committee. The Appeals committee will take evidence from the chairman of the Disciplinary committee and such other parties as it deems appropriate, and will have the power to modify the decisions of the Disciplinary committee as it deems appropriate. The decision of the CSRA Appeals committee is final.
