Who can enter?    Cheshire Cup: All clubs within the Cheshire Boundary may enter one Ladies team and one Mens team only, whatever league those teams are in, providing the players used on those teams would also be eligible to play for Cheshire.  This is generally held to be either residents of Cheshire, or those born in Cheshire, but also excludes people playing for a different county. If in doubt, please seek confirmation from either Bud Foster or Janet Jackson.

Challenge Cup: All clubs may enter as many teams in this competition as they wish.  Eligibility for Cheshire is not an issue, but clubs are restricted to entering teams and players from below division 1 in the ladies leagues, and below divisions 1 & 2 in the men's leagues.  Once a player has permanently moved up to a club's higher teams, they can no longer play in the Challenge Cup.

Following the success of this experiment last year, the ladies events will again be run with 3 players per team, the aim being to generate more teams entering and so improving the competition.  

Clubs are welcome to enter both competitions, but please be aware that the finals of these competitions are held on the same weekend, normally in April, and must be able to field teams accordingly.  There will also be a plate competition for first round losers of each competition.

Please complete the entry forms as appropriate and return with your cheque by 1st December 2001.  You can also send the entry forms by either fax or e-mail, with the cheque to follow later.

The competition runs from January to April.
