"The 1974/75 season was the most successful for Cheshire in recent years. We reached the final of the West Midlands area qualifying rounds and were narrowly defeated 2-3 by Warwickshire. In the first season of the Northern League we finished 2nd to Lancashire with Northumberland and Durham 3rd and 4th respectively. There was also a notable weekend in February when both 1st and 2nd teams recorded victories over Lancashire. a number of friendly fixtures were played with varying success"
